CCC opens representative office in Madagascar
Over the years, our missions have multiplied, scientific monitoring has become more structured, and local collaborations have been strengthened. One thing has become clear: in order to sustain this momentum, CCC needed to have a permanent local operational presence. This has now been achieved with the official opening of the CCC representative office in Madagascar.

Caméléon Center Conservation joins the IUCN/SSC Chameleon Specialist Group. Through two of its members, Olivier Marquis and Martin Etave, we are pleased to announce the beginning of a close collaboration between our two organizations dedicated to chameleons.

Welcome Angelinah to the CCC team!
We are delighted to introduce Dr Angelinah René De Roland, a new member of our conservation team! A Madagascan biologist and teacher-researcher at the University of Toliara, Angelinah supervises several Master 2 students as part of their research into the ecology and conservation of Madagascan fauna.

Concrete support from Zoopark Zájezd for chameleon conservation
We are pleased to announce that Zoopark Zájezd, located in the Czech Republic, has recently made its first payment to support the work of Caméléon Center Conservation. This support is the result of several awareness-raising and fundraising initiatives carried out with its visitors.

First results on Parson's chameleon presented at EAZA ARTAG 2025
During the joint meeting of the taxonomic groups for reptiles and amphibians (ARTAG) of EAZA (European Association of Zoos and Aquaria), held at Allwetterzoo in Münster from 12 to 17 May 2025, Benjamin Drouet – veterinarian and member of the Caméléon Center Conservation team – presented the first results of our project on Parson's chameleon (Calumma parsonii).

Parson's Chameleon Day – Sunday, 27 April at MUZOO
Come celebrate with us the Parson's chameleon (Calumma parsonii), a discreet giant of Madagascar's rainforests threatened by deforestation. This festive day will mark the end of the temporary exhibition at MUZOO (La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland) and highlight our conservation programme for the world's largest chameleon.
