Since its creation, Caméléon Center Conservation has carried out most of its scientific and conservation work in the field, particularly in the forests of Madagascar, home to some of the world's most remarkable chameleon species.

Over the years, our missions have multiplied, scientific monitoring has become more structured, and local collaborations have been strengthened. One thing has become clear: in order to sustain this momentum, CCC needed to have a permanent local operational presence.

CCC opens representative office in Madagascar

This has now been achieved with the official opening of the CCC representative office in Madagascar.

This local branch will enable better coordination of scientific missions, facilitate the logistical organisation of projects, strengthen administrative monitoring and support the local teams involved in our conservation efforts.

The coordination of this office has been entrusted to Michaël Ramalanjaona, who has been appointed National Coordinator. Already involved in our projects for several months, he will act as the daily link between the field in Madagascar and the Swiss headquarters, ensuring the continuity, rigour and transparency of our actions.

This important step marks a new phase in the structuring of CCC: conservation that is ever closer to the field, local partners and the ecosystems we protect.
