CCC opens representative office in Madagascar
Over the years, our missions have multiplied, scientific monitoring has become more structured, and local collaborations have been strengthened. One thing has become clear: in order to sustain this momentum, CCC needed to have a permanent local operational presence. This has now been achieved with the official opening of the CCC representative office in Madagascar.

Inventory of chameleons in Iaroka: a very promising start
At the end of November 2025, the Chameleon Conservation Centre (CCC) launched a new chameleon inventory project in the Iaroka Forest, located in eastern Madagascar, in the heart of the Ankeniheny–Zahamena forest corridor. After the first two months of fieldwork, the results confirm the high scientific and conservation value of this site.

Start of mission in Iaroka: a new chapter begins
CCC has just opened a new chapter in its activities with the launch of its first field mission dedicated to chameleons in the Iaroka Forest in Madagascar. Located in the Ankeniheny–Zahamena Corridor, this forest remains largely unknown despite its ecological richness. Thanks to collaboration agreements signed with VOI Iaroka and IMPACT Madagascar, our teams can now carry out a comprehensive study and conservation programme there.
