We are delighted to announce that our Jackson's chameleons, born three years ago, welcomed their first second-generation litters (F2) at the end of May! This subspecies of mountain chameleon (Trioceros jacksonii jacksonii) is viviparous, and the females have one or three horns.

Discover one of our females born in February 2021, with her first litter of 10 young. These mysterious reptiles, native to the high-altitude forests of Kenya, are being bred as part of our study into the thermal preferences and hydro-regulation capabilities of mountain chameleons. This exciting project is being carried out in collaboration with the CNRS Centre d'Etudes Biologiques de Chizé and Herpeto-Technique.

Stay tuned to follow the progress of our research and learn more about these fascinating creatures!
