We are delighted to announce that all the necessary administrative procedures and authorisations have been successfully completed for the transfer to France of 14 chameleons Trioceros jacksonii born in Switzerland! These specimens have joined the breeding centre set up by our partner Herpeto-technique, thereby contributing to our study project on the thermal preferences and hydro-regulation capacities of mountain chameleons, supervised by Dr Olivier Lourdais of the Centre d'Etudes Biologiques de Chizé - CEBC CNRS ULR.

To ensure their safe journey, each chameleon underwent a veterinary check before leaving Switzerland. During their transfer, they were housed in individual boxes and underwent a further veterinary examination on arrival in France. In accordance with French legislation, each specimen was fitted with an identification chip. This process demonstrates our commitment to ethical and legal standards, guaranteeing animal welfare and traceability.
